Does Adventure Crew provide transportation for my child?

Yes - we provide transportation to and from the adventure site with pick up and drop off at Fountain Square downtown.

If my child is not a student in one of the CREW schools, can they still join?

Our program works in collaboration with teacher advisers at specific schools in order to best serve our students, so if your child's school is not listed on our Crew Teens page, then we do not have a program yet for them. We continue to add schools as new resources become available to us, but our mission is serving urban CPS and Northern Kentucky schools grades 6 - 12.

When are the Adventures?

With rare exception, our events occur on Saturdays with bus pick up at 9 a.m. at Fountain Square and return to Fountain Square at 3 p.m.

How frequent are Crew Adventures?

Each school attends one adventure a month. Some students who are involved in a CREW leadership programs may come out more frequently. There are also opportunities for conservation adventures on occasion, such as river clean ups.

Will my child need money with them on Adventure?

All costs are covered by Adventure Crew. We recommend not having money or other valuables on adventure as we are not responsible for losses.

What should my student wear for adventures?

Clothing suggestions vary from adventure to adventure. Generally, students shouldn’t wear any shoes or clothes they don’t mind getting wet or dirty. Here are some other adventure-specific pointers:

Kayaking - Quick-dry materials and old shoes. No jeans (they’ll get wet and uncomfortable) or flip flops.
Biking - Avoid long, loose clothing that could get caught in a bike chain.
Skiing/Snowboarding - Lots of layers. Thick, warm, non-cotton pants. Thick socks and gloves, if you have them.
