Dan Neyer, Donor/Sponsor

We've been lucky to have Dan Neyer as part of our Crew for a while, but this summer, he's coming through for us in some big ways!

First, his companies, Neyer Properties and Torque Suites, stepped up to sponsor our GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title attempt for “Largest Paddle Craft Party” at Ohio River Paddlefest this year. 

On top of that, Dan has chosen to make Adventure Crew a beneficiary of his annual challenge for charity on his birthday, coming up this Saturday, July 11.

"My theme for my quadrathlon is "6-7" for my 67th birthday," Dan wrote when describing his challenge on social media. "I will start the day in the beauty and darkness on the Ohio River by kayaking 6.7 miles upstream and 6.7 miles downstream.

I will then do a quick change from the paddle to the bike to embark on a 67-mile bike ride on the Loveland Bike Trail.
 
For my third act, I will put on my backpack with a 20-lb weighted vest and camelback for liquids inside (will be around 26.7 lbs or more) and do a 16.7-mile hike that will include 6.7 miles worth of just the Mount Adams steps from Second Street to the church on top of Mount Adams.
 
For my fourth and last event that day, I will keep the backpack on and complete 670 pushups."

In addition to Adventure Crew, Dan's challenge will also benefit Move Beyond Surviving "to support their continued growth in events geared to help breast cancer survivors on outdoor adventures designed to rediscover yourself and your personal strength in a safe and supportive environment," he said.

"It will be a long day for sure, but any day you can put forth good effort to help others, it is a very good day," Dan said.
